NOTE:

  • Each registered participant will be sent the appropriate private YouTube video link, Zoom link, and password for their lessons.
  • If you miss a Zoom lesson, Zoom lessons will be taped and available to class participants after each lesson.

Academy Staff

SHARON DUCHI – Ace Your Audition
Sharon has a BA in Education from Old Dominion University. She was the Artistic Director of Act One Community Theater in Temecula for over ten years, and has directed, musically directed, and produced numerous award-winning productions, including Shrek, RENT, and Little Women the Musical. Youth Theater was a regular component of the theater’s annual productions. Miss Sharon has enjoyed performing in many theater venues and vocal groups. Some of her favorite roles include Sr. Hubert (Nunsense), The Narrator (Joseph and the Amazing…), and Joanne (Company).

ANNA DUCHI – Technical Support
Anna has served as Director and Choreographer for OTC’s Youth Outreach Program in Spring 2019 and Fall 2019. She has a degree from Humboldt State University in Theatre Arts and Dance and worked on numerous Youth Theater productions at the Act One Community Theater in Temecula. Her experience includes serving as Choreographer for Jefferson Middle School, performing at SeaWorld San Diego, and performing at Legoland in Carlsbad. She was most recently seen onstage in OTC’s Sweet Charity.

ANTHONY DONOVAN – Cartooning for Fun
As an actor/singer, Anthony has appeared on stage in musicals such as Avenue Q, Next to Normal, The Who’s Tommy, and an award-winning role as the Big Bopper in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. He created the San Diego-based sketch comedy TV series, THE HOUSE, which ran for 8 seasons and received two Telly Awards for outstanding regional production. Anthony has combined a life-long passion for cartooning and humor into a commission-based business that specializes in animation-style pieces for portraits, T-Shirts, greeting cards, signage, and murals.

AUDREY EYTCHISON – Onstage Dance!
Audrey received her BA in musical theatre from UC Irvine and has been teaching dance throughout San Diego County. She was the resident choreographer at Legoland and most recently was seen as Helene in Oceanside Theatre Company’s Sweet Charity. One of her favorite dance styles is hip-hop.

 

JAMIE GALLAGHER – Tap Tips & Techniques
Since the age of four, Jamie has received dance training in tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical modern, contemporary, and musical theatre.  She competed as a dance student and received numerous overall and platinum awards. Miss Jamie has been teaching dance for eight years and performing in productions such as West Side Story, Beauty & the Beast, Mary Poppins, and A Chorus Line. Her first choreography was for Thoroughly Modern Millie and she has continued with other productions including James and the Giant Peach, Jr., West Side Story, and Godspell.

CAROL NAEGELE – Puppets Alive! – Carol was the Head of Youth Services at the Oceanside Public Library for 25 years, which included both storytelling and puppetry. She has been a member of the San Diego Puppetry Guild and taught storytelling and Puppetry at Palomar College. Besides acting at Moonlight and Miracosta College, she has enjoyed serving as Costume Designer or Set Designer for various Miracosta productions and the Oceanside Theatre Company.  As a member of the Oceanside Theatre Company’s Board, she is responsible for the Brooks Theatre Art Gallery, the Youth Outreach Program, and the Summer Youth Theater Arts Academy.

 

EDEN YOUNG – Stage Makeup Basics Eden has appeared on the OTC stage in several productions, most recently as Ursula in Sweet Charity.  She also appeared in Picnic and Fermina/ ensemble in Man of La Mancha,  Elsewhere:  ensemble/ tango dancer in She Loves Me and a Mute in The Fantasticks, both at Scripps Ranch Theatre, and as Sophie in MAMMA MIA! at the Star Theatre Company. 

Eden has been doing stage makeup for 7 years and has done makeup for many shows at the Star Theatre Company, including Annie Jr., Hairspray, A few good men, The Little Mermaid and more!  @eden.y on instagram!
