OTCYA provides opportunities for young artists via the Summer Camp and Outreach Programs.
The Youth Academy offers a comfortable place for students to develop skills, create, and have fun! OTCYA is dedicated to providing opportunities that allow students to reach their potential through the joy of artistic discovery. It is our hope that all students training with OTCYA will develop a passion and lifelong love of the theatre arts.
The OTCYA Summer Camp is a day camp (weekdays from 9am-3pm) that runs for four weeks from mid-June to mid-July, culminating in a weekend of performances of a standard Broadway-style musical theater youth production. Students register as either a Performer (ages 8-17) or a Theatre Tech (ages 10-17). Performers focus on acting, singing, and dancing, while also honing audition skills, stage presence, and a sense of theater community. Theatre Tech students participate in set building and painting, sound and lighting design and production, costume design, and stage crew.
The full-time camp staff consists of the Director, Musical Director, Choreographer, Technical Director, Camp Organizer, and a Camp Assistant. Summer Camp is open to children of all skill levels, from novice to advanced performers/technicians.
The 2018 summer camp will run June 18-July 13 with performances on July 13, 14, and 15.
Staff and show information will be announced soon!
