Job Summary:

The Rentals Manager is responsible for the coordination, facilitation and smooth operation of outside rentals
at the Brooks Theatre and Studio 219.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • none directly. works with the renter to understand and facilitate the needs of their use of the space.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Handling all inquiries for possible rental events
  • Review all viable inquiries for goodness of fit with executive team
  • Securing rental contracts with outside groups
  • Securing the staffing needed/associated for events
  • Creating and maintaining of budget for event
  • Creating and maintaining of event schedules
  • Scheduling and oversight of any meetings associated with events
  • Overseeing day of event activities and troubleshooting
  • Scheduling strike/clean up crew for events
  • Financial accounting of the events’ expenses and revenues
  • Ensuring compliance with the theater’s insurance, liquor, etc. rules as they relate to rentals
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to function well in a sometimes-stressful environment.
  • Ability to exercise diplomacy, discretion and good judgment.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma; Bachelors degree in Theatre Arts preferred.
  • 2-3 years related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand for 1-2 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
