The Brooks Theater Gallery is hosting the Oceanside First Friday Art Walk and our Artist Open House this coming Friday, May 5! The gallery welcomes everyone to this free event to enjoy a mellow evening of live music, light refreshments and a cash bar, a guest artist working on their current art piece, and free behind the scenes tours of the historic Brooks Theater.

Eighteen different artists share their vision of The Art of Friendship, with personal stories about friendship or background stories about their art put on display. Exhibiting artists will have name tags so you can ask questions or chat about their work. The exhibit will run from May 2-31 and coincides with OTC’s mainstage production of Good People by David Lindsay-Abaire which runs May 12-28.

Our mini theater tours take visitors through the costume and prop room, the tech loft, the main stage, the makeup room, the studio, and the shop, while exploring some of the history and mystery of the Brooks Theater.
