ABOUT:  Imagine some of the biggest legends in music history performing together in concert – Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Amy Winehouse, among others. The Six String Society’s 27 Club illuminates the lives and music of this infamous group of musicians, in which all the members died tragically at the age of 27.

 

For one day only, these stars are brought to life by talented local musicians. The all star cast includes Whitney Shay as Amy Winehouse, Lauren Leigh Martin as Janis Joplin, Anthony Cullins as Jimi Hendrix, Austin David as Kurt Cobain, Blake Dean as Jim Morrison, Robin Henkel performing the music of Robert Johnson, Jody Bagley, Laura Chavez and others.

 

Set in a mythical Greenwich Village apartment circa 1969, the candles burn late into the evening as the stars of this dubious club begin to arrive in the “Living Room.” One by one, they each perform their songs culminating in one triumphant group number together at the end. Part theater, part concert, Six String Society’s 27 Club will have audiences traveling across time to rock out to some of the greatest songs in music history.
