Comedy Garage Presents – Improv Show

Improv at the Brooks is excited to have special guest host Comedy Garage Presents bringing three teams with three very distinct styles of improv to our stage. It is sure to be a FUN night of comedy!

Slack to the Future:  Step into the unpredictable world of ‘Slack to the Future’, where every scene is an adventure through time and wit! SttF is comprised of veteran San Diego improvisers. They perform a version of the Slacker, created by legendary Los Angeles improv team Beer Shark Mice. SttF has been performing their fun, fast, free-moving form of improv to let their skills and imagination run wild for over 8 years.

Dance Team:  Following the choreography of their hearts, veteran improvisers Angellyne De Perio and Niki Kal make up dance moves on the spot based on a playlist from an audience suggestion. Then they improvise scenes with energetic characters, playful scenarios, and strong relationships based on the choreography. They are inspired by freeing their bodies to the sound of music and allowing for as much discovery as possible. Using the songs, the dances, the ending postures, and the space as ways to jump into the scenes. They will twerk hard to make you laugh!

Shhh!:  Shhh Silent Improv by Tommy Galan and Neil Patel is sure to delight. Give them a decade within the last 100 years and they will perform silently to a soundtrack from that decade played behind their physicality.

Don’t miss this exciting show!
