Adult Tap Workshop

Have you always wanted to tap dance? In this Adult Tap Workshop, students will work on the fundamentals of tap dance in the feet and in the body. Each week, students will build on the skills learned the previous week as we broaden our step vocabulary. Students will also learn about major figures and influences in tap dance history. Students will hone their tap skills with an emphasis on musicality, technique, and playfulness as they learn a dance to showcase at the end of the course. The Adult Tap Workshop is a great opportunity for beginners and returning tap dancers alike.
About the Instructor
Lindy Lyon is a spirited and passionate Dancer, Choreographer, and Instructor. As a B.F.A. graduate of Colorado Mesa University, she is trained in Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, Ballet, Contemporary, and more. Her pieces have been adjudicated and featured in concerts and festivals across the country, and she has performed with Legoland California and Jingle Beat Nashville. Lyon contributed choreography to Oceanside Theatre Company’s The Little Mermaid this past fall, and she looks forward to working on more musical productions in the near future. Lyon loves to share the joy of dance with people of all experience levels, and she believes in making dance accessible for all.
