Oceanside Theatre Company (OTC) is excited to honor Ralph Johnson with the second annual Kathy Brombacher Lifetime Theatre Achievement Award and CJ DiMento with the inaugural Hattie âSunshineâ Brooks Award for elevating and enhancing the arts in Oceanside, California. The awards presentation will take place during Oceanside Theatre Companyâs 2024 Gala Celebration âLove Boat to Paradiseâ on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 3 to 6 pm at The Seabird Resort (101 Mission Ave., Oceanside, CA 92054.) The event will also include entertainment, refreshments, a silent auction and a live auction emceed by celebrity host Ted Lange of TVâs âThe Love Boat.â Long-time OTC supporters Ed Parish, a current Board Member, and Anne Speraw, a former OTC Board Member, will act as Honorary Chairs for this yearâs event.

Returning off last yearâs exciting sellout salute to Tom Petty at the OTC, the Rolling Heartbreakers will be performing two classic iconic albums from both the Rolling Stones and Tom Petty in their entirety. The show will feature the Stones’ Let It Bleed (1969) and Tom Petty’s Full Moon Fever (1989), along with other selections from each band. As with last yearâs show, this performance will be accompanied by a full background visual presentation to enhance the experience. Tom Cridland, playing the part of Elton John on lead vocals and piano, is close friends with Elton John drummer, Nigel Olsson, has recorded songs and episodes of his Greatest Music of All Time Podcast with Elton John guitarist, Davey Johnstone… and has even met Sir Elton himself, the man who Tom credits with helping him recover from alcoholism.
