OTC at the Brooks embraces the transformative power of the arts and actively seeks underrepresented voices to create an inclusive, vibrant space for diverse perspectives. Through performances, community events, film screenings, and educational programming, we bridge divides, foster unity, and celebrate North County’s rich tapestry. 2026 will bring a season of celebrations that will include Women’s History Month, API, Military Appreciation Month, Pride Month, Juneteenth, Hispanic Heritage, and more all throughout the year.
2026 Arts Unite Events
February 15, 2026, 2 PM – Selma Film Screening (in honor of Black History Month)
Join us for a special screening of Selma in honor of Black History Month as part of OTC at the Brooks’ Arts Unite series. Directed by Ava DuVernay, this powerful historical drama chronicles Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s pivotal 1965 campaign for voting rights, centered on the dangerous and historic marches from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama. Rated PG-13.

April 4, 2026, 12 PM-2:30 PM – Theatre Wellness Pilates Workshop
Theatre Wellness Pilates offers an afternoon of movement and body awareness designed for performers and community members alike. Led by longtime Pilates instructor Michelle Jimmink, these sessions focus on core strength, alignment, and mindful movement that support both performance and overall wellness. Registration is free, and participants are welcome to attend one class or stay for the full sequence of sessions below.
Class Schedule:
12 PM – 12:55 PM: Pilates Fundamentals for the Actor – 55 min (all levels)
All level Pilates class, geared towards the actor, with the goals of total body muscle activation, balance, and corrective body alignment. Mindful movement taking the fundamental exercises deeper – learn the ABCs of the method.
1 PM – 1:25 PM: Pilates & the Powerhouse – 25 min (all levels)
Learn how to simply and quickly activate your powerhouse, including the pelvic floor with a no-nonsense approach. Appropriate for any level, from no previous Pilates to the advanced practitioner.
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM: Traditional Pilates Mat – 1 hour (all levels to intermediate)
Experience the traditional mat Pilates repertoire, challenge your core & coordination, and fall in love with the original Method – as Joe intended.

May 3, 2026, 2 PM – Everything Everywhere All At Once Film Screening
Join us for a special screening of Everything Everywhere All at Once in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Month. This film is a surrealist sci-fi action-comedy directed by The Daniels, that follows Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh), a stressed, exhausted Chinese-American immigrant. While undergoing an IRS audit, she discovers she must connect with parallel universe counterparts to stop a multiversal threat, ultimately exploring themes of nihilism, family, and generational trauma. Rated R.
