AUDITION INFORMATION and PREPARATION:

1) Register to audition on VBO through the link listed above. Once you have registered, you will be given access to the Sign-Up Genius to set your audition time(s) on April 15th.

2) Please sing a portion of a song from any Broadway musical show (your choice). Please limit your audition to one minute per song. Songs may be solo, duet, or group performances. You may accompany yourself on an instrument rather than using a backing track if you would prefer. You may also do a dance audition. We welcome all of them! You may audition up to three (3) times – solo, duet, small group, instrumental or dance. Only one registration fee is required. You can sign up for extra audition performances on the Sign-Up Genius.

3) Bring a backing track with you to auditions, along with the ability for us to play the music on our speaker through Bluetooth. You can also email your track to sduchi@oceansidetheatre.org prior to April 15th. No acapella auditions will be allowed. If you are using your own instrument, please let us know. We will have an electric keyboard and an upright piano available at auditions.

4) Each participant is required to sell a minimum of five (5) tickets to the performances.

5) You will be notified by Sunday, April 20th if the casting team has selected your performance number for the show.

6) We will also learn several group numbers during rehearsals. These numbers will include all participants and will be determined by the Production Team. No audition preparation for the full group songs will be necessary.

7) Questions? Please email sduchi@oceansidetheatre.org or aduchi@oceansidetheatre.org
