Hot Stuff in Heels: A Donna Summer Drag Revue

Arts Unite at Oceanside Theatre Company, in collaboration with the North County LGBTQ Resource Center and Big Table Productions, celebrates Pride Month with Hot Stuff in Heels: A Donna Summer Drag Revue — an afternoon of dazzling drag, iconic disco hits, and joyful community celebration.

Hosted by Maddy Mokes and featuring Strawberry Corncakes, Armani Colby, Avalon Eves, Kiki Funkshaun, and Dirty Chai, this high-energy revue pays tribute to the legendary Donna Summer through unforgettable performances inspired by her greatest hits.

VIP ticket holders are invited to an exclusive pre-show reception in Studio 219 beginning at 11:45 AM, featuring light refreshments and an up-close experience with the performers. The meet-and-greet will take place from 12:00 PM–12:30 PM, followed by onstage VIP seating for the show.

The event also includes a community drive benefiting the North County LGBTQ Resource Center’s food pantry. Guests are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items or personal care products to donate.

Free general admission for students with a valid student ID. Tickets must be obtained in person at the box office and are subject to availability.

Taste of Oceanside

OTC at the Brooks will be participating in Mainstreet Oceanside’s Taste of Oceanside! Explore downtown Oceanside on foot or hop on the free ‘Taste Trolley’ to taste and sip their way through Oceanside’s exciting food and brew scene. For those 21 and older, the food and beverage combo ticket offers the chance to sample sips from the community’s vibrant craft breweries and wineries at participating stores and offices. With only 1,200 tickets available and the event selling out three years in a row, early ticket purchase is highly recommended.

Bridging Communities “Echoes of Identity & Resistance”

“Bridging Communities: Echoes of Identity & Resistance” is a multidisciplinary performance experience that centers movement, memory, and cultural resilience to explore what it means to belong, to remember, and to resist. Through dance, spoken word, film, and storytelling, the program amplifies the voices of Asian and Pacific Islander artists and community members, creating a space where diasporic identity and ancestral memory come into dialogue.

Weaving together personal histories and collective truths, this event holds space for healing, transformation, and creative expression. In a time where cultural erasure and displacement persist, we return to our bodies, our stories, and each other — using art as a bridge between communities, generations, and geographies.
